Branding for Bonoteo by Astellas Pharma, Japan
Designed and conceptualized branding for a new osteoporosis medication by
Astellas Parma, based in Japan.
The medication’s name, “Bonoteo” translates to “emperor of bones” in Japanese.
It signifies having strong bones.
The logo I designed includes a crown which represents “the emperor”, and the brand’s color scheme which exudes “power.” This theme was carried into the advertising assets, targeting women over 50 years old. The key visual was chosen to reflect both, by featuring an advertising model in a “Yoga Warrior Pose” to represent fighting illnesses and wellbeing (yoga is known to be beneficial for osteoporosis patients).
This seasonal magazine was created for patients who are prescribed “Bonoteo.”
